Le Bon Marché
Since 1998 our hats are sold in this emblematic department store Le Bon Marché. Do you know its story?
The first boutique opened in 1838, created by Paul and Justin Videau. In 1852 Aristide Boucicaut, son of a milliner, and his wife Marguerite, collaborated with the Videau brothers. In 1872 the actual shop opened. It was built by many architects but the most famous one is Gustave Eiffel.
Aristide Boucicaut and his wife were ahead of their time, they offered many advantages to their customers by giving them paid leave, medical assessment…
With Marguerite Boucicaut death in 1887, her employees received a legacy according to their years of service. She received a tribute from the employees for her accomplishment and kindness.
In 1984, the LVMH group bought out the shop. Today, Le Bon Marché is the most iconic shop of the luxury sector and of the Rive Gauche in Paris. It attracts visitors and customers from all over the world.
